EasyShipy NDR & RTO Policy

Version 1.0 — Effective [INSERT DATE]

This policy is in draft — the effective date has not yet been set. It does not yet govern any live transaction.

1. Non-Delivery Report

An NDR ("Non-Delivery Report") is generated when a delivery attempt is unsuccessful and the Courier Partner records a reason requiring further action.

Examples may include:

  • Buyer unavailable;
  • Buyer unreachable;
  • incorrect address;
  • incomplete address;
  • buyer refusal;
  • delivery reschedule request; or
  • another Courier Partner-defined non-delivery reason.

2. Seller Responsibility

The Seller is responsible for monitoring NDR events and taking appropriate action through the EasyShipy Platform within the applicable response period.

Available actions may vary by Courier Partner and Shipment.

3. NDR Actions

Depending on availability, the Seller may:

  • request a reattempt;
  • provide or correct address information;
  • request buyer contact;
  • provide delivery instructions;
  • cancel the Shipment; or
  • take another action supported by the Courier Partner.

4. Failure to Respond

If the Seller does not respond within the applicable period, the Courier Partner may proceed with another delivery attempt or return the Shipment to origin in accordance with its operational policy.

EasyShipy is not responsible for an RTO resulting from the Seller's failure to respond to an NDR, subject to applicable law.

5. RTO

A Shipment may be returned to origin where delivery cannot be completed.

Possible RTO reasons include:

  • buyer refusal;
  • incorrect or incomplete address;
  • repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts;
  • buyer unavailability;
  • Seller instruction;
  • prohibited/restricted goods;
  • operational restrictions; or
  • other Courier Partner-defined reasons.

6. RTO Charges

Applicable RTO charges will be communicated through the Platform or applicable pricing policy.

For prepaid Shipments, applicable RTO charges may be deducted from the Seller's prepaid balance.

For COD Shipments, applicable RTO charges may be recovered through the Seller's applicable account or settlement ledger in accordance with the applicable financial policy.

7. Address Corrections

Where supported by the Courier Partner, EasyShipy may allow the Seller to submit corrected address or delivery information.

Additional charges may apply.

8. Buyer Communication

Where the Seller has enabled or purchased communication services, EasyShipy may send SMS, WhatsApp or other permitted communications relating to NDR, delivery, tracking or other Shipment events.

Applicable communication charges may be deducted from the Seller's prepaid balance.

9. Courier-Specific Rules

NDR response periods, number of delivery attempts, RTO triggers and applicable charges may differ by Courier Partner and service.

The applicable Courier Partner policy will apply to the relevant Shipment.

10. Seller Responsibility for Buyer Information

The Seller is responsible for providing accurate recipient name, phone number, address and other delivery information.

EasyShipy will not be responsible for delivery failure caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the Seller, subject to applicable law.
